Since 2021 traveling with firearms in Europe has become easier but also harder. With the European Firearms Passport (EFP) Sportshooters and Hunters can cross borders inside the Schengenzone without special permission. The only thing they need is a reason for traveling with the firearm, for example a shooting competion or a hunt. Usually this need is proven with a written invitation. But the firearms, ammo, and method of transport and storage have to comply with the destination country and all transit countrys. It can be quite hard to know all firearm rules as a traveller, so this website seeks to clarify rules for all travelers with firearms in europe.
